Chris does a lot of behind the scenes ministry including but not limited to: making coffee every week for nearly every service, making sure the building is safe and secure, audio/video setup and management, and filling in wherever there’s a need. He is a great asset to CLC!

Larry Castle
Larry CastleElder
Larry and Julie came to CLC in 2016. Larry serves as an Elder and Finance Leader, centered on leading, praying, teaching, and shepherding the congregation. Julie is a great support to Larry while also leading our Children’s Ministry Team. As an elder in church ministry, Larry draws upon his three decades of corporate leadership experience to guide and serve the congregation. With a passion for teaching and leading, Julie draws upon her 20+ years of experience with Christian preschool programs. Our Children’s Ministry Team does an amazing job showing our children the love of Christ and teaching them the word of God.
Larry and Julie are guided by 1 Peter 5:2-3 to be compassionate leaders, sharing God’s hope with unwavering faith to our community.

Kevin Bess
Kevin BessDeacon
Kevin and his wife Kelly have been married for over two decades, united by their commitment to follow Jesus and grow in their faith. For more than 10 years, they have been active participants in the life of CLC.

Kevin has two grown daughters and four beloved grandchildren. Kelly embraces her role as the “not-so-evil” stepmother and Nana. When he’s not cheering on his beloved Tennessee Volunteers, Kevin can sometimes be found fishing, talking sports with the grandkids (who do not live close enough!) or doing whatever projects the two have dreamed up at home. Kelly, on the other hand, thrives on speaking, teaching, and facilitating (and coming up with projects!) She leads a Saturday morning women’s Bible study, where she occasionally sneaks in jokes about her Vols-obsessed husband but primarily uses him as an example of a better half.

Their shared dedication to faith keeps their relationship intact & they hope they can be a practical resource to living life on earth but following Jesus.
